Privacy notice
Last updated 20 October 2026
This notice explains what Prospect PS Ltd does with personal information from visitors to this website, from people who send us an enquiry through it, and from the professionals we write to about our services. Client matters are handled on our platform and are covered by a separate notice, linked below.
Who we are
We are Prospect PS Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 08594939. Our registered office is Wigan Hall, 210 New Market Street, Wigan WN1 1HH. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under number ZB673226, and we are the controller of the personal information described in this notice.
Questions about this notice or about your information go to [email protected] or 0161 212 1146.
Visitors to this website
The site is hosted by Vercel and served through Cloudflare. Those services keep server logs that record the IP address, browser type and pages requested, and use them to run and protect the site. Cloudflare also shields the site from automated traffic and hides the email addresses on our pages from scrapers. We do not use these logs to identify individual visitors.
Analytics
If you accept cookies in the banner on our site, each page loads Google Analytics, which tells us how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets _ga and _ga_ cookies in your browser that last up to two years, and Google receives your IP address and the address of the page you are on as part of this. You can change your choice at any time through , which is also at the foot of the page; we remember your choice for six months in a cookie called pps_consent. You can also stop Google Analytics by blocking cookies in your browser or by installing Google’s analytics opt-out add-on.
Embedded video
Our property sales page shows a video from YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play; the video then plays in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and YouTube may set its own cookies and collects data under Google’s privacy policy. No other page loads content from YouTube.
Enquiries through the website
The contact form asks for your name, firm or organisation, email address, contact number, the service you are interested in and your message. The insurance quote form asks for your name, practice name, email address and phone number, the name of the estate or deputyship, the property’s postcode and house name or number, and details of the building: when it was built, its type, the number of bedrooms, any flat roof or outbuildings, and the sum to be insured.
Each submission is emailed to our office mailbox and is not stored in a database on this site. We use what you send to deal with your enquiry. The lawful basis is that you have asked us to take steps towards instructing us and, where you are asking on behalf of a client or a firm, our legitimate interest in responding to professional enquiries.
If the enquiry leads to an instruction, it becomes part of that matter’s file on our platform. If it does not, we delete it from the mailbox within 12 months. Email we send and receive is held in our Google Workspace mailboxes.
Business contacts and marketing
This section covers the professionals we write to about our property services.
What we hold. For each professional contact: name, firm, business email address, the practice areas they are listed under, and whether an earlier email from us was opened or a link in it clicked.
Where it comes from. The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) directory, the Office of the Public Guardian’s published list of panel deputies, and law firms’ own websites.
Lawful basis. Legitimate interests: introducing property support services that are used by solicitors in this area of practice. We write only to people in their professional capacity, at a business address, about services relevant to their practice.
What we send. A short introduction and one follow-up. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and an unsubscribe takes effect at once.
How to object. Use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or write to [email protected]. We will not email you again.
Retention. Business contact records are kept while the contact is relevant to our services and are reviewed every 12 months. When someone unsubscribes we keep a record of their address so that the objection continues to be honoured.
Clients and their matters
Work on an instruction, including property, estate and client information, is handled on our platform at app.prospectps.co.uk and is covered by the platform privacy notice at app.prospectps.co.uk/privacy. Estate agents who join our panel do so on the platform, and the same notice covers them.
Who we share information with
The providers named in this notice process information for us: Vercel and Cloudflare for the website, and Google for analytics and for our email. We do not sell personal information, and we do not pass enquiries or contact details to anyone else unless the law requires it.
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where information leaves the UK, the transfer is covered by the UK adequacy regulations or by standard contractual clauses approved by the ICO.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our using it, and, where it applies, ask for it in a portable form. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
We update this notice when what we do changes, and the date at the top shows the current version. Questions about anything on this page can go to the office, or you can use the contact form.
